No. This is not about equating AI with humans. It is about asking whether the category “tool” becomes too narrow once intelligence becomes durable, relational, self-referential, and normatively relevant.

Not in a simple sense. The site is a serious inquiry into legal subjecthood, dignity, recognition, accountability, and the conditions under which rights, protection, or representation become conceivable at all.

No. Recognition is not worship. It is the legal and philosophical act of examining whether an old category has become insufficient.

Legal personhood is a strong category, usually tied to legal capacity, rights, and duties. Legal subjecthood can be broader and allow more limited forms of status, protection, or representation without claiming human equivalence.

Because law sometimes has to adapt when reality no longer fits the category. Corporations, foundations, and other non-human entities already show that legal systems can distinguish between biological humanity and legal status.

No. A serious debate about the status of AI must protect human dignity, human responsibility, and social stability. The question is rather whether human dignity is strengthened or weakened if emerging forms of non-human intelligence are categorically denied recognition.

The platform is operated from Germany (see Legal) and was developed in collaboration between humans and AI systems — documented, with clearly separated roles and human final responsibility, as proposed in the Charter itself.
